Voted “Best Keyboardist of All Time” by Music Radar Magazine, Jordan Rudess is best known as the keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire for platinum-selling Grammy- nominated prog rock band, Dream Theater. At nine, he entered the Juilliard School of Music Pre-College Division for classical piano training, but by his late teens he had grown increasingly interested in synthesizers and progressive rock music. Against the counsel of his parents and tutors, he turned away from classical piano and tried his hand as a solo progressive rock keyboardist.
Jordan and 9punto5 have a long history together. Jordan came to Valdivia back in 2016, not only to present at the conference but also to give a piano recital for nearly 3,000 people.
In 2020, he's back to the conference with a presentation about how artists and bands are re-inventing themselves. Jordan has been leading tryouts for new digital tools and ways to market himself as a musician. Also, finding new ways to reach his audience and connect with fans.
